Paris To Jail

A judge sentenced Paris Hilton to 45 days in county jail Friday for violating her probation by driving without a driver's license (It had been revoked earlier) and being drunk and speeding with her car head lights off when doing so.
I wonder, if this is good for Paris's career or not? Will this put the brakes on the world's most spoiled and shallow celebrity, or will it give her "career" (What is it she does that makes her worth of celebrity?) a boost? I vote for the latter. Paris has parlayed her name and relentless partying into worldwide notoriety with a world of equally shallow admirers. But now she go to jail by June 5th and will not be allowed any work release, furloughs, use of an alternative jail or electronic monitoring in lieu of jail..
Oh, I can see the media circus coming. "I'm very sorry and from now on I'm going to pay complete attention to everything. I'm sorry and I did not do it on purpose at all," she told the judge before he announced the sentence. Well, I think she will pay equal attention to promoting herself while in jail. Paris is not the best educated person on the planet. But her performance as a witness who took the stand during the hearing and testified she believed her license was initially suspended for 30 days and that she was allowed to drive for work purposes during the next 90 days, is just too hard to believe.
She said that when an officer who stopped her in January made her sign a document stating her license was suspended, she thought he was mistaken and did not actually look at the document. It was the "I really am as dumb as I portray myself to be" defense. The judge apparently is amused by Paris's act, but that comes as a surprise to some. When a reporter asked what she thought of the judge's decision, Paris's visibly angry mom Kathy Hilton responded: "What do you think?
This is pathetic and disgusting, a waste of taxpayer money with all this nonsense. This is a joke." No, mom. Your daughter is a joke, and part of the reason is you are her mom.
You think anyone could be more immature than Paris? Think again. Dorothy Evans, a 81-year-old British grandmother branded by a judge as "the original neighbor from hell" had her jail term cut Wednesday but lost a bid for freedom because she wouldn't apologize for her actions. Dorothy, a widow from Wales, was jailed two weeks ago for harassment and breaching an Anti-Social Behavior Order after repeatedly shouting at her neighbors and hitting them with her walking stick.
Hmmmmmmmm It does make Paris seem more stable. But apparently Dorothy's fellow prisoners taught her a lesson Paris should learn. Rowdy Dorothy was attacked in jail by another inmate and beaten to the extent that she arrived at London's Appeal Court in a wheelchair flanked by three prison officers, with a plaster over one eye.
The judge cut Dorothy's six-month sentence by a third but said she must spend at least another four weeks locked up after refusing to apologize. "Old age is not a license to disregard the law or the requirements of decent behavior toward others," he said. Right...and neither is having gobs of money, Paris.
